Who can book the Ditchling Village Hall?

The Village Hall can be booked residents and non-residents.

We are sorry but we can no longer accept bookings for teenagers up to 21st birthday parties.

How much does it cost to hire Ditchling Village Hall?

Our 2024 price list can be found here. There is a discounted rate for Ditchling, Streat and Westmeston residents and societies.

How many people does Ditchling Village Hall hold?

We are licensed as follows:

• maximum of 50 persons on the stage/backstage
• 150 for close linked seated audience
• 125 when used for seated at tables only
• 125 when used for dancing only
• 90 when used for seated at tables and dancing

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that these numbers are not exceeded

How many tables and chairs?

6 x 6ft oblong Trestle Tables (seats max. 10 using ends)

5 x 5ft oblong Trestle Tables (seats max. 8 using ends)

10 x 4ft oblong Trestle Tables (seats max. 6 using ends)

4 x 3ft square Trestle Tables (seats max. 4)

150 padded Banquet Chairs

Is the Hall Licenced?

The Hall holds a Premises licence which permits the following

Plays, Film Shows, Public Entertainment, Sale/Supply of Alcohol

Insurance

The Hall has Public Liability Insurance

If you are a Commercial Hirer you must provide your own public liability insurance

All Hirers should affect all necessary insurance to cover their own liability in respect of their own, or third party equipment used or stored in the Hall
