FLOOR REPAIRS TO UPPER HALL & STAGE

We’re starting 2025 with an exciting project!

The upper hall and stage have been cleared ready for the floor to be renovated!

We’re keeping as much of the original floor as possible, however sections of the stage are beyond repair and will need to be replaced.

A huge thanks to the trustees and volunteers who helped to clear the hall, including moving all of the chairs and other equipment ready for the flooring company to start.

We are sure the flooring company will ensure the floor is in a highly usable state once completed, but please be mindful the surface will have changed and not be exactly as you have been used to, so may be slightly more slippy.

We would also ask that you take extra care when moving equipment across the floor, with aim to CARRY things rather than slide heavy objects across the floor, to reduce the risk of damage.

We appreciate the chairs are heavy but when moving the green chairs, we would suggest lifting 1-2 at a time. We have tried to find a chair moving device for these but have been unable to.

However, we are in the process of sourcing a chair moving trolley for the red chairs to make it easier for hirers.

Thank you and best wishes,
DVH trustees
